All eyes are currently on Cannes, messy morning buns, high ponytails and braids were front and centre this year – exuding grace and poise. We just couldn’t pick an absolute favourite, so here are our top eight picks.

Anderson stunned us with her outfit, but the cherry on top was the slicked-back low bun and perfectly styled edges. This style complemented her features without taking attention away from the gorgeous geometric dress. It was sleek, simple and sexy – a vibe we’re absolutely living for.

It seems low buns are the new thing as Neelam Gill jumped on the bandwagon as well. However, Gill went for a more relaxed look, which perfectly matched her stunning blush dress. The loose strands beautifully framed her face and made the look feel complete.

Sporting this unique look, styled by Ross Kwan, Jama turned everyone’s heads. The creative hairdo set the bar pretty high for the event and had fans gushing over her on social media. Styled with Bumble and bumble and KeraCare, we know this look must’ve taken hours – hats off to Kwan for his innovative vision.

Dua Lipa was serving pure elegance on the red carpet. The messy bun and long fringe gave her a slightly mysterious charm. Her hair seemed to mirror the unique cutouts of her dress, making for an overall cohesive look.
Sophie Hadjipanteli
This unique look, created by Joe Kelly, made Sophia Hadjipanteli absolutely shine on the red carpet. From the bejewelled dress to the flawless makeup to the incredible updo, we didn’t know where to look. All we can say is, this is a look for the history books.

A high ponytail can absolutely transform an entire, look and Alice Abdel Aziz’s red carpet look is proof of that. The updo paired with the dazzling bodysuit and glamorous cape made up one of our favourite looks from the whole event. High ponytails seem to be making a huge comeback, and after seeing this look, everyone’s gonna be whipping their hair back up into a nostalgic 2000s high ponytail.

The neat bun alone on Bodi was enough to catch our attention, but the flower decorations made it just that much better. The accessory added a bit of grace and fragility to the overall look. The flower designs trailed through her hair and down to her ears to double as earrings, complementing, but not taking attention away from, her gorgeous green dress.
